Resolved Question: how can i become a Buddhist?

How can I become a Buddhist? I really like Buddhism. I think is it great, and very true. Buddhism has been in my family for a while. When I was little my father would read me Buddhist tales such as The Monkey King, The Lion and The Jackal, Siddhartha and the Swan etc. Recently he got into Thai Boxing and went to Thailand. He visited monasteries and had my necklace (a jade Buddha) blessed for me by a Buddhist monk. This has really had a positive effect on me. I meditate as often as I can. I have done some research on the internet on how to become a Buddhist, but all it says is that I need to follow the teaching's of the Buddha (the five precepts, the eightfold path, the Four Noble Truths). This I already do, so I was wondering on how I can officially become a Buddhist. Is there any age limit to become one, do you have to be a certain age? Best wishes and thank-you in advance...
